Charles De Lafontaine is a 3rd year software engineering student at Polytechnique Montréal, with a strong technical background in programming languages such as C++, Python, C, Angular, React, HTML, CSS, JS, JQuery, TS, and PHP. He also has experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including mySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. In addition, he has knowledge of Assembly (x86), VHDL, and R. Currently, Charles is working as a Cybersecurity of Avionic Systems at Polytechnique Montréal. His responsibilities include simulation of the AFDX protocol on NS3, C++ module development and unit tests, continuous integration on a co-simulation platform, and execution of cyberattack scenarios. Charles has also worked as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant at Polytechnique Montréal, where he supervised the lab work for the "INF1600 - Architecture des micro-ordinateurs" and "INF1005D - Programmation procédurale en Python" courses. Charles holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, which he is expected to complete in 2024. He also has a DEC in Natural Sciences from Cégep de l'Outaouais and a DES in General Studies from Collège Saint-Alexandre de la Gatineau. With a strong technical background and relevant work experience of 0.36 years, Charles is a skilled software engineer with expertise in SQL, web development, CI/CD, AngularJS, PHP, MongoDB, integration, and testing.
